Our team of counsellors are on hand to answer your phone calls and e-mails. We will get back to you as quickly as we can and will be happy to arrange to meet with you.
Between us we have a wide variety of experiences, with ages ranging from 20s to 60s and paid jobs varying from midwife and school nurse to teacher and fashion designer! Many of us also had counselling experience before starting on the training for YPCC.
All counsellors at the centre undergo a 50 hour specialised training course in pregnancy crisis counselling, accredited by the ACC. Some have also undertaken a further training course for post abortion counselling and baby loss counselling.
Confidentiality is a priority and we are all under regular supervision and receive ongoing training.
We hope that the quality of care you receive from the centre will give you much-needed support in your crisis. Most of all we want you to feel completely comfortable to come and chat with us, knowing that we will listen carefully, not rush you, not judge you, give you useful information and respect your right to make your own decisions.
